SUNSETVIEW PLANNED ACTIVITIES FOR 2008
 
Weekend Activities generally run from Mothers Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend, and also on Columbus Day Weekend.
Regular Weekend Activities include: Bonfires, Children's Friday Night Fun Hour, Friday Night Adult Darts, Arts and Crafts, Kickball, Softball, Horseshoes, Bingo, Pokeno, Wagon Rides, and More!!
Be Sure to participate in our weekly 50/50 raffle to benefit The Ronald McDonald House Charity!!
April 15th: CAMPGROUND OPENS (Weather Permitting)
 
May 2nd, 3rd, 4th: Movie Weekend
- Saturday evening come and enjoy a movie in the heated Game Room. Bring your lawn chairs and your must have snacks.
May 9th, 10th, 11th: Mother’s Day Weekend
- Weekend activities starting: Kickball, Softball, Crafts, Bingo, Pokeno and Wagon Rides.
- Mom's Lip Print Contest. See which Mom makes the most beautiful impression!
- Our first DJ dance of the season with Christopher Robin Saturday evening.
- Sunday: Mother's Day Pancake Breakfast. Mom's eat free!!
May 16th, 17th, 18th: Retro Weekend
- Come back in time with us for a Retro-Weekend. We will have everyone's favorite craft this weekend - Tie - Dying!
- Saturday night wear your tie dye creation and perform Karoke with Kathy Goodspeed! Also planned are contests and prizes!
May 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th: MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND
- The Swimming Pool opens this weekend.
- Friday night Childrens Fun Hour starts, will be held every other week.
- Adult Friday Night Darts begins,will be held every other week.
- Also Crafts, Wagon Rides, Ball Games, and Adult Bingo.
- Horseshoe Tournaments for adults.
- Our Annual Field Day Events are held this weekend.
- A DJ dance with Christopher-Robin and a Live Band.
 
May 30th, 31st, June 1st: Annual Monte Carlo Weekend
- Adult Friday Night Pokeno and Cribbage begins, will be held every other week.
- Try your luck on our casino games and win tickets for chances on great prizes! All ages welcome to play! Great fun for the whole family!
June 6th, 7th, 8th: Mardi Gras Weekend
- Friday Night: Adult Darts and Childrens Fun Hour.
- Come celebrate our Mardi Gras weekend. We will have many traditional Mardi Gras customs including mask making and King Cakes to select a King, Queen, Duke, and Maid who will ride on our float in our Mardi Gras Parade.
- Decorate your golf carts and bikes with the traditional green, purple, and gold colors and participate in our Saturday parade.
- Saturday evening join us at the pavilion for our Masquerade Ball. Prizes awarded for the best homemade mask as well as other events!
June 13th, 14th, 15th: Father’s Day Weekend
- Friday Night: Adult Pokenoand Cribbage.
- Dad's compete in our "Best Male Leg at Sunsetview" Contest!
- Saturday night come and enjoy a live band.
- Sunday morning, Fathers Day Pancake Breakfast! Dad's eat free!
June 20th, 21st, 22nd : Chocolate Frenzy Weekend NEW!
- Friday Night: Adult Darts and Childrens Fun Hour.
- Enjoy Chocolate themed activities all weekend.
- Participate in a Chocolate Balloon Toss (12 and under) and a Chocolate Pudding Tug-of-War Tourney (13 and up/teams of 6)
- Chocolate specials all weekend at The Gingerbread House (fee)
- Saturday night come down and watch the movie, "Charlie and The Chocolate Factory". At intermission enjoy chocolate themed activities including Hershey Kiss Toss, M&M Jar Guess, and more!!
 
June 27th, 28th, 29th: Be A Star Or Go To Jail NEW!
- Friday Night: Adult Pokeno and Cribbage.
- All of our regular activites.
- New! Send a friend to jail. Join the fun! All proceeds to benefit The Ronald McDonald House Charity.
- Saturday evening we are having "Performing As" Karoke with Kathy Goodspeed. Bring a costume to dress and sing like your favorite performer! Prizes Awarded!
July 3rd, 4th 5th, 6th: Fourth Of July Weekend
- Friday Night: Adult Darts and Childrens Fun Hour.
- Adult Bingo, Ball Games, and Wagon Rides.
- Horseshoe Tournaments for adults.
- Our annual 4th of July parade; decorate your bikes, strollers and golf carts - we provide the streamers. We will also have a Pots and Pans unit for our parade, so have your young children bring a pan or pot with a spoon to make some noise!
- The Town of Monson also holds their annual Summerfest celebration complete with fireworks, (date to be announced.)
- A DJ Dance with Christopher Robin and a live band are planned.
- Saturday Evening, Charity Auction!! Come and enjoy a fun evening for a great cause, The Ronald McDonald House Charities! Bid Often/Bid High!!
*Starting July 9th through August 27th - Wednesday evening's will be Movie Night.
*Starting July 10th through August 28th - Thursday evening's will be Adult Bingo Night.
 
July 11th, 12th, 13th: Sunsetview’s 38th Birthday Celebration!
- Friday Night: Adult Pokeno and Cribbage.
- Camper Carnival Games, Pie Eating Contest, Face Painting, and more!
- Join us for a birthday party complete with cake and punch Saturday night.
- Keep the party going at a DJ Dance with Christopher Robin.
July 18th, 19th, 20th: Sunsetview’s Annual Beach Dance
- Friday Night: Adult Darts and Childrens Fun Hour.
- Come and dance in the sand at a DJ Dance with Christopher Robin.
- Featured activities include a Volleyball Tourney for ages 13 and up. Childrens Beach Games and other fun.
- We will have our annual Chicken Barbecue served on the beach (fee.)
July 25th, 26th, 27th: It's Christmas In July! - Santa and his elves will visit Saturday night!
- Friday Night: Adult Pokeno and Cribbage.
- Watch the campground transform into a Winter Wonderland!
- Join DJ Christopher Robin with a Christmas Dance Saturday Night to get us in the Holiday Spirit.
August 1st, 2nd, 3rd: Pick Your Ponies, It’s Weekend At The Races!
- Friday Night: Adult Darts and Childrens Fun Hour.
- Childrens obstacle course, prizes awarded in three divisions, ages 6 and under, 7-9, and 10-12 years of age.
- We will hold our annual Nite At The Races Saturday evening. Experience The Excitement!!
 
August 8th, 9th, 10th: Sunsetview's Annual Classic Car and Motorcycle Show
- Friday Night: Adult Pokeno and Cribbage.
- Enjoy our car and motorcycle show and cast your vote for your favorites.
- All of our regular activities.
- Saturday evening enjoy a live band.
August 15th, 16th, 17th: Come and enjoy the fun of an Island Luau!
- Friday Night: Adult Darts and Childrens Fun Hour.
- We will be serving a special meal on the beach (fee) weather permitting.
- Enjoy music on the beach at a DJ Dance with Christopher Robin.
- Enter our 13 and Older Two Man Boat Race!
- The Luau fun continues with an all ages limbo contest and beach games!
- Enter our "Make Your Own Boat" contest, youth and adult divisions.
August 22nd, 23rd, 24th: *Sunsetview’s Great Halloween Weekend!
- Friday Night: Adult Pokeno
- Experience the campground displayed in a frightful state!
- Trick or Treating throughout the campground.
- A costume parade and contest will kick off our DJ Monster Bash!
- Also featured will be our Famous Spook Ride. A fee will be charged to benefit The M.S. Society New England Chapter Challenge Walk.
- 6 and under "Pumpkin Hunt" Sunday morning.
*Please note that we do have a visitor limit on this weekend and that all visitors MUST be registered in advance.
 
August 29th, 30th, 31st, September 1st: LABOR DAY WEEKEND
- Friday Night: Adult Darts and Childrens Fun Hour.
- Various Ball Games for all ages, Horseshoes,Adult Bingo, Wagon Rides and more.
- Our Annual Seasonal vs Weekender’s softball game will be held this weekend. Also other Seasonal vs Weekenders Contests.
- DJ Dance Saturday night with Christopher Robin.
- Sunday night live band
- Our Interactive Scavenger Hunt will be this weekend.
- Participate in our Bingo Marathon.
- Be sure to check out our Chinese raffle to benefit the Ronald Mcdonald House - lots of great items for a very worthy cause!

October 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th: COLUMBUS DAY WEEKEND
- Friday Night: Adult Pokeno.
- Scarecrow making at crafts.
- A DJ Dance with Christopher Robin and Karoke with Kathy Goodspeed are planned.
- Bring a carved pumpkin and compete in our annual Pumpkin decorating contest. Pumpkins will be on display at the DJ Dance.
- Also Adult Bingo, Ball games, Wagon rides, Horseshoes, Bonfire and more!
October 15th: Campground Closes
- No activities are planned.
